Are the cookies vegan?
YES! All of our cookies are vegan, meaning they are made with ingredients that do not contain animal products. Check out the list of ingredients used in baking the cookies! When placing an order “regular” means vegan; “gluten free” means the cookies are vegan AND use gluten-free ingredients.
Are the cookies gluten free?
Please select the gluten-free option to ensure that your cookies are gluten free. Not all of our cookies can be made gluten free. Although some cookies can be made gluten free, there may be cross-contamination. There may be slight traces of gluten because the kitchen used for baking also processes non-gluten-free items. The Conscious Cookes does its best to ensure there is no cross-contamination, but if you have celiac disease or are highly intolerant to gluten, please reach out to us with your concerns. We hope to create cookies that are delicious and available for you to enjoy despite your allergies!
Please note, gluten free cookies turn out slightly smaller in diameter than the regular vegan cookies, due to the difference in ingredients.
Do the cookies contain nuts?
Yes, some of the cookies do contain various kinds of nuts. Review our cookies and the descriptions to determine which cookies are nut-free, or check out the ingredient list. If you have a nut allergy please reach out with your concerns and we will do our best to alter the recipe to serve you nut-free, vegan cookies.
How do I place an order?
Please order online through the website; for more information about an order please contact us via email.
Orders are processed Monday-Thursday; baking, packaging, and delivery/shipping occurs Friday-Saturday.
How do I pay for my cookies?
When placing an order online you are able to pay using a debit or credit card through PayPal.
If you don’t have a PayPal account you can still place an order online and pay with a debit or credit card. Please fill out your email address and continue as if you are going to pay with PayPal. A new page shall open up, and you will be prompted to put in your email again, card information, and billing address. Once finished, you can click create account - this does not necessarily create a PayPal account for you, but it submits your payment directly to The Conscious Cookie and your order has been processed and paid for.
If you are located on St. Thomas and need to pay via Venmo or cash/check please email us a copy of your order. We will send you an order invoice, and payment can be made when pick up in person occurs.
How will my cookies arrive?
If you placed an order online you will receive an email confirmation. Upon packaging and shipping The Conscious Cookie will provide tracking information. Cookies are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, and may take 5-7 business days, or more, depending on shipping location.
If shipped, your cookies will arrive in a box with the cookies securely nestled inside. Cookies are packaged in compostable, eco-friendly containers with proper labels on the exterior.
Local orders within St. Thomas may be picked up at a central location without being shipped. Pickups are available select Saturday mornings 10:30-11am. Pickup location is in the parking lot next to Caribbean Cinemas, on the right (across the street from the fruit stand). Correspondence via email or message on social media will confirm pickup date and time. No additional fee if pickup takes place during designated time; additional $5 if pickup occur outside the scheduled period.
What is the cost for shipping?
Cookies will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail for a flat rate of $10 per order, plus an additional $6.00 per quantity. Please see the shipping policy for more information.
How long until I get my cookies?
Please allow for 1-3 days for your order to be processed and confirmed. Your cookies may take another 5-7 business days for shipping, based on the location.
Orders are typically processed Mondays-Thursdays, and shipped out on Fridays-Saturdays.
What if my order is delayed, or I can’t pick it up at the given time?
Customers whose orders are delayed via mail/shipping will be contacted and notified of the delay. Updates will be provided accordingly via email.
If an order pickup is delayed, or an order is not picked up at the given location and/or time, the customer will be contacted and pickup will be rescheduled.
Can I make a return?
Once ordered, shipped, and/or delivered, cookies may bot be returned. Please check out our return policy for more information.
How long will my cookies last?
Cookies should be consumed by the best by date on the package, but may stay fresh for a few days after that if stored in a sealed container. If located in a warmer environment, store cookies in the fridge or a dry, cool place for freshness. Cookies may be frozen in a freezer-safe container for up to 6 months.
